LDS Construction
Services exclusively uses NUDURA Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) to build hurricane resistant and energy efficient homes.

LDS Homes have 3 times greater energy efficiency for heating and cooling cost than the method we have used for over 200 years.  Has over 4 times greater fire resistance than the current method, 9 times stronger, and 3 times quieter,  and, it costs only about 10% more.

ICF construction is a new technology that is vastly superior to traditional wood framing methods. As a result, LDS ReadyHomes are stronger, more comfortable and energy-efficient, while allowing for flexibility of design and lower future maintenance costs.
Give your home the strength it needs to defend itself!

With NUDURA high performance polystyrene panels filled with concrete, your LDS ReadyHome will be:

  • Up to 9xs stronger than a typical wood-framed home
  • Up to 3Xs more energy efficient
  • Up to 3Xs more sound resistant
  • Up to 4Xs more fire resistant
  • Up to 9Xs greater comfort level (air infiltration,
consistent room temp, air quality and thermal bridging)
  • Up to 9Xs greater durability (strength and maintenance)
  • Up to 50% less insurance costs

LDS ReadyHomes look like any other home,
until the forecast calls for extreme conditions.
Then you realize it's an LDS Home.
So whatever the forecast, you'll be ready!

The ICF construction system produces a solid concrete exterior wall system with a 4”, 6”, 8” or 12” thick, 4,000 PSI steel reinforced concrete slab core.  The concrete slab is surrounded by almost 3” of expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) on both sides.  Sidings of any choice are applied directly to the foam exterior by screws into embedded polymer, or steel in some cases, framing strips, and finishes likewise applied to the inside.  It is, in science sense, a concrete vault that stores BTU’s.  Think of a rock inside four IGLOO coolers, as big as seven concrete trucks in a row, glowing energy.  Think how long it could keep you warm (or cool) at a cool (or warm) time.  It averages the temp the HVAC system battles to the middle of the extremes, then insulates it really good and makes it air tight.
